I´m having a short eight days vacation from my job at the hospital. I´ve been quite lazy these days... but it feels great to sit around and just do nothing.
The weather doesn´t help much either, fog, rain and more rain the whole day. Ahhh...I wish Spring arrives soon because this weather puts me in sort of a lazy, depressive mood.
Well, doing nothing is virtually impossible for a person like me. My daughter has classes and I have to take her to school every day (except weekends), cook, clean and shop, the everyday cores.
At night, I´ve been chatting online trough messenger much more than working on my blogs. I´m happy to finally be in touch with some old friends from my hometown. I missed them so much during these years away...and, finally, I´m in touch with some of them. Blessed Internet, lol.
I´d like to send a big thank you to all my Entrecard fellow bloggers who still drop by Night Clicks every day. I´ve been doing more drops with my Personal Finances blog Mizé Journey than with Night Clicks. I don´t have enough time to drop with all my blogs so I pick only one account per day to visit my favorite blogs.

You can check my archives and Article Directories category to find these lists. Although each directory PR might not be updated you can find plenty urls to visit. You can also find a huge list of Article Directories in any major search engines´ results.
Article directories can be very useful not only for writers and webmasters but to anyone who wants to learn more about a specific topic. Trough them, you can promote your own articles and even gain free links to your website or blog.

Having Fun Online
Since last August, I´ve been using my PC to chat online and meet new people. It has been a very amusing experience, indeed. I now have a bunch of new friends. Some are more virtual than others :)
For a few months after breaking up I was too closed inside my own world, leaking my wounds, but now it´s time to turn the page. For me, chatting online is a nice way to spend my spare time and socialize in a different way.
You know, I´m a bit sceptic about the idea of finding love online but I´ve heard many real stories about it. In the past months, I´ve meet people from different parts of my country and other countries as well. No, I haven´t found a boyfriend, just a few cool dudes :)
Some of my new virtual friends seem to understand me so well...it´s amazing. I can chat about any topic without the feeling I´m being criticized. Do you know what I mean?
Well, it´s obvious the PC protects us, but all this freedom feels great. Now, I´m using both Facebook and messenger. I had installed messenger several months ago but only now I started using it. Still a newbie :)

Music Passion - MP3 Search Engine
My readers know how much I love music, it´s a part of my life. I like different music styles and that´s one of the major things I use the Internet for. Buying CDs it´s too expensive for my demanding musical tastes, so I use the Internet to download MP3 files. I like being updated and hearing new tunes from my favorite bands and buying all new CDs it´s something I can´t afford.
My previous PC used to fail when I tried to open several windows at the same time. It was frustrating because I could not hear music and work on my blogs at the same time. I prefer multitasking and there´s always music playing in the background. Well, except when I´m writing school paperwork. In that case I must be really concentrated in what I´m doing so I turn the music off.
When I bought my notebook, I looked for the latest sound technology. Having a notebook with good media software was one of my priorities. I bought a Toshiba with special media programs and Kardon speakers. This way, I can hear music videos while I´m multitasking. I also use the Internet to download MP3 files. I record those files in a CD to hear in my car.

Monday is gone and once again without my Music Monday participation. Following last week´s spirit "If you can´t speak it, sing it", today, I´m posting a music I recently dedicated to a special someone. If that person ever visits my blog...will know what I´m talking about. It´s a nice way to celebrate a special day :)

My Daughter´s Birthday
This weekend it rained so much that all my going out at night plans were spoiled by the bad weather. It´s a pity... but more weekends will come and the bad weather will surely go away. These are probably the last rains and Spring will arrive soon.
Although I didn´t dance the night away, I had a very special Valentine´s day :)
In Friday, my daughter´s Carnival Parade was canceled due to the bad weather. She was sad but there was nothing we could do about it.
The weekend before it was my daughter´s birthday, she turned ten. I organized a birthday party for her friends in our flat. I printed cool birthday invitations in a website that has all sorts of cards, including construction business cards. I bought a delicious fruit´s birthday cake, snacks, juices and balloons. Her birthday party was a success and I´m happy I could do everything by myself. It´s the first year we´re by ourselves and things haven´t been easy for both of us. But with time, all will pass and hopefully we´ll find our path to happiness.
Soon, it will be my birthday and this year I´d like to celebrate my special day in a different way. Let´s see if I can make it a special day as well.

Adsense Payment Arrived
I just checked my mail and found that my Adsense payment arrived. It feels great to keep improving my earnings with this blog advertising option, been working hard to reach this goal.
Putting blogs in the first page of the major search engine to gain free traffic is not an easy task but it´s not an impossible one. In the last couple years I´ve learned how to do it and now I´m receiving the rewards for my work.
I just checked my current earnings and by the time I´m writing this post I already surpassed half the minimum for another payment. Way to go girl :)
If things keep the way they´re going in a couple months I´ll have another check arriving to my mailbox.

Going Out at Night Again
Next weekend, I will have two days off in a row. The whole weekend off is a rarity for me so I have to make the most out of it.
I feel like going out again. Once my daughter will be spending the weekend with her father, I´ll be on my own.
I already made some plans. I will probably indulge myself with a good meal in one of my favorite restaurants and after I´ll go to a bar for a drink or two. I don´t drink on a daily basis but I enjoy a good wine and a couple beers when I go out.
Now, the only thing I need is to find out what to wear. My options are few and most of my clothes are casual, nothing special. I wear jeans on a daily basis because it´s practical and I feel comfortable. Anyway, jeans are appropriated to go out at night. All I need is a fashion blouse to combine with jeans and I´ll be Ok. If I go out with my sports sweaters, I´ll probably look like I´m wearing large mens clothing. I need to buy something feminine but inexpensive. I´ve been checking some online stores and I think I found exactly what I´m looking for. Maybe I can find a similar model in mall shops. Gotta check it out. Night, here I go :)

Blogging: Decisions To Be Made
Not long ago, I´ve reached a point in my blogging journey in which I had to decide if I would keep blogging as a hobby or in a more serious level.
A more serious level meant buying my own domain and deciding which web site hosting option I should use. It wasn´t easy to decide because I was still a newbie and had much to learn about websites, html and other necessary skills to maintain a self hosted blog.
Although I decided to blog in a more serious level, and learn more about it, I kept all my other blogs. If you´re a blogger you know how hard it is to keep several blogs. I had to use all my time management skills to be able to continue.
When I started some of my blogs, including Night Clicks, I was studying in University and had plenty time to be online. In April 2009 I started working full time and other things changed in my personal life. A breakup turned me into a single mother with many responsibilities to fulfill and my free time to be online had to be drastically diminished. I couldn´t keep up with everything I was doing anymore.
Currently, I reached another crossroad in my blogging journey. If I want to blog for profit and for fun at the same time, I have to start new endeavors and give up some of older blogs because I don´t have enough time to keep them all. I´m one person alone, and I can´t do everything. It´s a hard decision because I care about all of my blogs but once I´ve got some "perfectionist" traits I feel I can´t keep things as they are at the moment.
In the next weeks, I need to carefully think about my next blogging goals. At the moment, my most profitable blogs don´t have their own domain but when I think about which ones to keep, my domains come first. It won´t be easy to decide what to do but I simple can´t keep things as they are right now, it´s overwhelming. Oh gosh, what shall I do?

When You Can´t Speak It, Sing It
It´s been a while since my last Music Monday post and I must confess: I miss MM!
With MM I had a chance to share my favorite tunes and "send" messages about how I feel.
Writing is a way to express my thoughts but music can also translate my deeper emotions and my mind. When you can´t speak it, sing it.
Today, I´m posting another video clip from Maná. Maná sings in Spanish and I enjoy them very much. I know many Night Clicks visitors don´t understand Spanish but, at least, they can hear the music and discover this group.

Going Out at Night: I Need Fashion Clothes
Last weekend, I went out for a drink with one of my coworkers and some of her friends. It´s been a while since I last went out at night without my daughter. Last time I went out for a drink was last summer. Oh gosh, how time flies. I´m getting old and I´ve become a house owl.
I finished my shift at midnight and after I came home to change clothes. I opened my wardrobe and realized how simple it is. I don´t have nice clothes to go out at night anymore and the reason is my recent weight loss.
I lost around 10 Kg and had to buy many new clothes. As you can imagine, changing a whole wardrobe isn´t cheap so last time I shopped clothes I sicked to the basics. I forgot I would need something nice to wear in case I would out in a winter night. I had no option but to wear jeans and a sweet-shirt.
I´ve never been thin and I´m much taller than the average Portuguese woman. Some years ago, I had a hard time finding women's large clothing but nowadays things have changed. There are stores totally dedicated to large fashion clothing. I used to wear a 52 jeans size and now I´m wearing a 44. Although I lost weight, I still belong to the L/XL category. Next time I shop I can´t forget to buy something nice to wear otherwise I will feel misplaced when going out with friends. They were all dressed up and I looked like I was going to the supermarket, lol.
Although I wasn´t dressed to the occasion, I had fun and I´m glad I accepted my friend´s invitation. I drove back home around 4 am because next morning I had to pick up my daughter but I promised my friends I would go out with them again very soon.
