Day Off: Investing In Beauty

This month, I decided to invest a bit more in beauty than I usually do. This Tuesday I had a day off and I decided to spent it shopping with my daughter. We had lunch out and after we went to the hairdresser. I changed my hair color from dark brown to light brown and did my eyebrows. My daughter also had a haircut. We were both excited about this beauty day and after the hairdresser we went to a perfume shop.
I don´t recall the last time I had bought nail polish and didn´t even have any make up remover. I look much better when I use eyeshadow...so I decided it was about time to get back to my old beauty habits. I bought a long wanted bottle of perfume, a couple face creams and makeup. In this shop there was a sign saying pin your hair and I bought my a daughter a couple of pink pins.
I received a few free samples of creams and perfumes so now I have enough stuff to make me more pretty for the next months. My next investment will be in summer clothes and shoes.
Spring always brings me a renovating spirit. We both had lots of fun and finished our day with a nice homemade dinner cooked by me. It´s great to see my savings growing but it also feels great to have enough money to splurge and indulge ourselves once in a while.

Blogger Status: Home Doing Nothing

Ohh..this was such an exhausting week...I´m KO :)
I had so much work at my job that I hardly had time for myself or to cook...I will take revenge in my next day off. Oh I will...
I´m planning a special day off with my daughter. Only work and no fun or time to blog makes my stress levels raise above the sky limits and that´s not good. When I´m too stressed I have bad mood strokes, specially in the morning. It´s not easy to deal with me when my I´m with this type of temper so...
I´m taking this Sunday off to rest and do... absolutely nothing...Today, I´ll be a sort of couch/bed bug. It´s gool to be home all day only resting and doing nothing but thinking, sleeping and eating. I´ll be back as soon as I charge my batteries.
Good rest of weekend for you all :)

Saving Money: My Hot Topic

As some of Night Clicks visitors already know, a few moths ago, I bought a new domain and started a blog about Personal Finances called Mizé Journey. This is a topic I really enjoy and in this new site I´m not blogging for profit.
My major goal is to share my PF experiences within the Portuguese reality. My country is one of the poorest in south Europe. It has it´s own reality and specific characteristics. Although we´re culturally rich, financially we´re in Europe´s tail.
With low wages as we have here, saving money isn´t easy. We don´t have access to many coupons like in USA and UK.
In my country we can find supermarket discounts and promotions, coupons for Restaurants or Pizza Hut coupons . We don´t have Papa Johns coupons or coupons in Sunday newspapers. I only receive a few fliers in my mailbox every week and have a couple supermarket fidelity cards that allow me access to selected discounts.
In my PF blog I don´t cover coupons available, instead, I share my shopping experiences and what I´m doing to reach my major goals. Living in a country home with a bit of plot to plant my own vegetables it´s my biggest dream and I consider it my long term priority.
Hope you can visit me there as well. I´ve been doing EC drops more often with my PF blog than with Night Clicks.

About My Domain Names

Soon, it will be time to renovate one of my domain names and I´m still not sure what to do. The question I keep asking myself is: Should I renovate it, park it or try to sell before it expires.
As I mentioned in a previous post, I don´t have time to keep all my blogs and I´ll have to quit some of them. I have a good web site hosting deal and my online profits are enough to cover all expenses, including my Internet connection.
Once I dedicate most of my online time to my recent endeavors, the old ones have been left behind.
I wouldn´t mind working online full time but that´s only a dream. I have fixed expenses every month and without my offline job, I coudn´t live as comfortable as I do.
Soon I´ll have to make up my mind but I´m so confused. I could keep the domain name and just park it but once I´ve never done this before I´m sure if it´s a good option. Any suggestions?

A Weekend To Rest

Gosh...another week has passed so fast. For the second week in a row, I´ve been fighting a nasty flu. In the beginning of this week I was feeling much better but now my left ear started to ache.
Yesterday, in Portugal, we celebrated Father´s Day. It was also my ex birthday so my daughter is spending the weekend with him. I´ll be alone with Nina the whole weekend.
Friday night, I went out for a coffee with a friend and Saturday morning I worked. After work I came home and was so tired that I slept all afternoon. When I woke up it was way past dinner time. My ear still aches but after resting I feel a bit better. I have a lot to do online so I´ll be doing one of my blogging nights. Tomorrow, my daughter will be back and I´ll use my Sunday off to do my home chores.
Monday morning I´ll be back to a 38 hours work week. Ohh...how I hate morning shifts.
See you soon :)

Thinking About My Blogging Path

Since I started my first blog until today my life has changed in many ways. I started as a newbie and blogging has been a wonderful learning experience for me. When I learned I could earn some money trough blogging I started expanding my online activities and created a bunch of different blogs. Back then, I had enough time to update and work on all of my blogs and after two years blogging in a free platform I bought my first domain name. Then, I had to learn how to run it and how to deal with web site hosting.
I think all I´ve done in my blogging adventures was worthwhile but when I started working full time my life changed again. My free time to blog was drastically reduced and that lack of time had an impact on my online activities. Even though, I kept all of my blogs. I even bought another domain name and started new endeavors. Now, I´ve come to realize that my lack of time to be online has an impact on my work quality. I´ve been seriously thinking about reducing the number of blogs I have but can´t seem to decide which ones I should quit. You see, I know I have to do something about this but it´s so hard to let go any of them that I´ve been delaying my decision.
I´ve though about keeping my most profitable blogs but I don´t feel comfortable to follow that path. I enjoy blogging just for the fun of it and that´s why my decision to quit some of them is so hard to take. I have ideas for new blogs and maybe they are profitable but letting go my older blogs is like losing something I´ve worked hard to reach. Well, I need to decide what to do and I can´t keep this situation forever. If you were in my shoes what would you do?

Quality Time in My Day Off

Last weekend I worked one eight hours shift in Saturday morning and had Sunday off. I decided to use my day off to spend some quality time with my daughter. We spent Sunday at home playing games and at night we went to the movies and dinner out.
The movie was "Alice in Wonderland" which I enjoyed very much. It took me back to my childhood and finally I understood the whole story...more than when I was a child:)
I think Tim Burton made a good job and enjoyed to see Johny Deep as hatter. I had never seen the actress who made Alice before. I also enjoyed the other characters, it was really fun.
The dinner was burritos at the Mexican restaurant, expensive but yummy. Once I was driving, I passed the margaritas. The owner of the restaurant offer me a cactus which I will plant in a bigger vase and put in my balcony along with my other flowers and herbs.
I was invited by a friend for a drink at his parents restaurant but decided not to go. The rest of the night was spent at home chatting with friends trough msn. This weekend I had a good time with my daughter but next one I´ll be alone, she´s going to spend it with my ex.
My next day off will be next Friday. Until then I´ll be working a few night shifts. This means a lot of work and less time to blog.
See you soon :)

A Special Day To All Women

Today, in Portugal, we celebrate Women´s day. A big thumbs up to all Women out there!
We are really special and complex beings and I´m proud to be a unique exemplar of this species :)
Another Monday, another music moment here in Night Clicks. This week, I´m posting a singer I first came across trough an EC blog. I enjoyed his music and voice right away: Paolo Nutini. In this video he´s singing "Rewind". I think I enjoy most of his songs, this one, "Last Request", "Sweet Like Candy", etc.
Good week to all!

Back to Work

As my post tittle says, I´m back to work and to my crazy shift´s schedules. This short vacations should have been longer. As usual, I didn´t do all the things I wanted to.
At night, when I return home, I have all my online tasks to do. Most nights, I´m so tired that I need to use my old and not so fashion eye glasses to work in my notebook. You would surely laugh if you could see me with this glasses, they are so old that I look like a primary teacher from the 80´s.
You see, I have sensitive green eyes. Even during the day, I have to wear sunglasses most of the time because if I don´t, I get headaches and seems like I can´t stop crying. Talking about sunglasses, I could use a new pair. I´ve been using the same sunglasses for over three years now and besides being low quality, they already have a few scratches on them. Once I have astigmatism, the best solution for me would be a combination of vision and sun glasses but they are quite expensive so I always delay this purchase. I´d better look on online shops to check if I can find a better deal. A bigger notebook screen would also be very handy.
Today, I woke up very early and worked a night shift. I´m already too tired to make drops and finish my online chores. Tomorrow, I´ll have a day off. After taking my daughter to school I´ll be back home to do some cleaning and then I´ll be back to blogging. I have so much to do and so little time. It sounds strange, but I´m always mourning about my lack of time. It´s life!
