My 15 days Summer vacations started last Saturday. Finally, I have some free time for myself and to finish a few home improvement projects included in my "things to do" list. This week, instead of going to the beach, I´ll paint my bathroom and kitchen´s ceiling. I also need to ask a couple more quotes to replace my kitchen´s floor tiles.
Some of my home improvement projects are "do it yourself". I only contract services when I really don´t know how to do things. As you know, I´m always looking for ways to save more money and reducing services bills means more money in my pocket. When I first started looking for ways to reduce services costs, I found that I could save money in electricity, water and heating.
To reduce my power bill, I gained the habit of unplugging all electric appliances when they´re not being used and installed Energy Efficient Lighting in some rooms. I also changed my previous power contract for a cheaper one.
Once I have to remove my kitchen and bathroom lamps to paint the ceiling well, I´d like to replace those lamps too because they´re fluorescent type. I´ve been browsing Lumens for lightning ideas. This store offers a wide collection of renowned lighting brands such as Flos, the premier Italian manufacturer, and Tech Lighting. I found that Lumens also provides Fanimation Fans, a very good "two in one" solution for my kitchen. I don´t have air conditioning and in summer we have temperatures above 30º C. Imagine when the oven´s on, my kitchen temperature can easily reach 40ºC. I promised myself to find a solution this Summer and once A/C is too expensive I think a ceiling fan can do it just fine.
After these two small painting jobs, I´ll be officially on vacations. I´ll have one whole week to enjoy the beach and other outdoor activities with my daughter. My daughter´s school will start mid September so I have to make the best out of the few days left.

My 15 days Summer vacations started today, finally!
I´m distressed.
Honestly speaking, I don´t want to return to my current job anymore. The new chief nurse we´ve got there since July doesn´t seem to like me a bit. She already yelled and diminished me in two occasions and has been unfair in my schedules and the task´s distribution. I always end up doing the worst tasks and get the worst schedules. Last week I had to do 8 hours shifts both in Saturday and Sunday.
As I mentioned before, I´m alone in this town. I´ve got no family here and very little social support. I don´t want to leave my daughter alone at home during weekends and nights to go to this #$%& job shifts! She´s only ten years old and is the person I love more in this world. I could never forgive myself if something happens to her while I´m away being overworked, underpaid, stressed every day and treated like a non-human working machine.
Just can´t go on like this... God help me find a job which allows me to take good care of my daughter.
Meanwhile, I´ll try to finish a couple home improvement projects and enjoy these days off.

In my last Spring cleaning, I decided to clean in depth my living room. During this process, I came across so many old stuff hided in drawers. Things I almost didn´t remember possessing because they´re hidden or I just don´t use them anymore. Things such as my music cassette tapes & video tapes collection, my stamps collection and my photo books.
I love my old photo books, each time I see old pictures I get into such a nostalgic mood, it´s like traveling back in images most of my past history. My mother loves photos too, she did a photo book with my old photos from different childhood stages. Now, I´m doing the same thing for my daughter.
I´m still from the time when there were only black and white pictures, no color TV and not much digital appliances. My mother had her first washing machine when I was five years old. Gosh, am I that old? :)
Well, I thought about sharing one of my old pictures...
Yes, you guessed!
The smiling girl in picture above is me!
According to my mom, in the picture above I was 2,5 years old. The original picture was taken by a photographer in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Then, my mother had it reprinted in a bigger size and framed. Currently, this picture is hanged in my mother´s living room.
I lived in Brazil with my parents for a couple years. I don´t recall anything about those times but I have a few pictures (and some other souvenirs) from that distant childhood time. Looking to the pictures, I think I was so cute...always wearing nice hand made dresses by my mom :)

I just notice that, currently, Night Clicks has 99 followers...A big hug to all!
I wonder who will be Nr. 100...
Humm...I´m thinking about a funny blogging game to surprise my 100 follower here but once it´s a surprise... I´ll only tell you afterward. So, for now, all I can do is wait until that person arrives.
Blogging is fun!
See you :)

My Other Blogs

If you´ve been following my blogging adventures, you know I´ve become the type of blogger which has more blogs than time. It´s hard to run so many endeavors at the same time, specially when you don´t have good and constant time managing skills. This is something I learned along the way. Not always the effort you put in something has great results, but many times effort means progress.
In Night Clicks, I often talk about my blogging experiences, ways to monetize blogs I come across or SEO topics that interest me. I started blogging for the joy of writing and as a way to share my artistic experiences in glass. At first, I didn´t think about creating a personal blog. That experience came after, when I decided to try blogging in English. This tendency is scattered trough my blogs, personal experiences posts mixed with other topics. First, I wasn´t comfortable with the idea of sharing my thoughts and my life but after a couple years blogging, than tendency diminished although it´s still present.
After blogging in free platforms, I decided to try my own domain blog. Without knowing much about the topic, I bought my first domain for a blog I had just started. The idea was creating a blog about free stuff online and, for the first months, I was able to follow the topic. Then I dispersed because I lacked time to invest researching the topic. Recently, I decided to remove the blog from that domain. The blog is still available in the free platform url, and there has a PR2. Once I won´t be able to keep the blog as it was, the project has been abandoned.
I enjoy having a domain to post my reviews so I´m thinking about the possibility of replacing this blog for a new one. If I decide to create a new domain blog, I´ll be much better informed about unlimited web hosting and best cheap blog web hosting as I was when I started my blogging endeavors. Experience counts. After buying my second domain for my PF blog, at first, I thought about keeping things as they are right now but the advantages of running my own blog made me change my mind.
So, if any of my readers had a link exchange with Netfreesource, please remove or update the link, because this blog isn´t a com domain anymore. Thanks for your support.
See you soon :)

My one week vacation finishes today. The week flew, as all good times do, but I enjoyed it very much. I was needing this pause to rest. We went to the beach, the swimming pool and the countryside. Me and my daughter had after lunch naps and dinners together. It was really good to have her around all day.
I also did a blogging hiatus to read a couple second hand books I bought online.
With batteries almost recharged, tomorrow I´ll be back to my crazy schedules routine. It´s also time to start preparing my daughter´s back to school season. School will only start middle September but if I don´t buy her books this month, they´ll sell out.
Will be back to blogging soon :)

Music
Hello everyone!
Weekend off for a change... Just started a short one week vacations, yeah!
Today, I´m a bit with the blues and don´t feel like writing about it. Instead, I´m posting music. Remember when I said some songs have more power to translate how I feel than many words...
