Hello everyone,
Hope you´re having a nice weekend like I am: Home, with a couple good books at hand, my notebook and my cat Nina warming my feet :)
Ohhh..."There´s no place like home", specially when it´s windy and rainy outside. I adore being cosy in my pajamas hearing the rain falling outside.
Friday I skipped work, had Saturday off and Sunday (today) I´m supposed to work a morning shift. I should get up by 7.00 am but it´s 3.30 am and I´m still awake, cooking and blogging :)
I´ll only sleep a few hours and hope to wake up because Friday I could not. Sometimes I oversleep, specially when I´m in a down mode or very tired. The fact is I´m so fed up with this job that I find every excuse not to go... lol.
Tonight I went to the mall with my daughter to buy a few items for Halloween, she likes playing "sweet or trick" with a group of friends and neighbors but she wanted something new to wear tomorrow. So, I bought her green fake hair and some funny glasses. You should see her with that on... she looks like a martian, lol. I bet they´ll have fun...kids always do.
In the past weeks, things on my English blogs have been a bit slow. I´ve been reading more and working on my Portuguese blogs too. I had the goal to improve advertising earnings in a few of my blogs but I knew that in order to achieve it I had to work hard on them. So... I did and it paid off because I reached my goal. I enjoy challenging myself because when I do, I work harder.
A good Sunday & Halloween to all :)
Funfair & Wintertime
The yearly "St. Iria" funfair was in town and we had a blast!
And now that I have my camera back I can post pictures and all :)
When I was a kid, I really loved the funfair. I remember spending hours begging my mother, which didn´t enjoy it as much, to let me go... alone :)
Now, I enjoy going to the funfair with my daughter and see her have a good time like I used to have.
The funfair is an expensive place, enough to blow my Entertainment budget for the month (for example, each ride can cost 2.50/3.00 Euros), but it´s worth the money.
Going to the funfair is one of those times when the kid inside me comes out to play with the kid outside me :)
My mother came to visit us and we all went to the funfair, 3 generation of women in our small family together to have fun :) My mother seems to have more fun now with her granddaughter than when I was a kid. I remember why...she was always busy. Times have changed, she´s now retired, and so have we. We get along much better now but sometimes I still have to cut her conversations or pretend I haven´t heard a word of her annoying criticism.
Wintertime is arriving but we´re still having Autumn weather. Soon, we´ll have to rewind our clocks to winter hours.
I don´t like cold and rainy winter days at all, except when I can stay home warm and cosy. Winter hasn´t arrived yet but I can tell it´s going to be a long & cold one...
See you soon :)

Hello everyone, hope you´re having a nice Saturday in your corner of the world.
Here in Portugal we´re having a sunny Autumn Saturday, the fair is in town and I´m home enjoying a day off from work.
My daughter is spending the weekend with her father and won´t be home until tomorrow night. I cooked lunch, a yummy 3 cheese omelet and fried rice, and now I´m here in front of my PC updating my blogs. Tomorrow I have a morning shift after which I´m going groceries shopping.
I feel like staying home all day and probably that´s what I´m going to do, unless a nice invitation to go to the fair comes up :)
You see, I have a pile of summer clothes to sort out that have been laying around for weeks and another pile to iron. Add a little cleaning to that and you can see how my Saturday off will be spent. Lately, I really enjoy staying home in my days off, resting and doing my stuff.
Now changing subject, I recovered my camera. My daughter left it under the bed in her father´s house and he only noticed it a week later when cleaning the room. My digital camera is a one hundred fifty euros Hp but it´s the only one I had so I´m glad I have it back. Now I can keep taking my amateur blurred pictures :)
Overall, things in my life are more balanced now and in result I feel better. My job´s schedules change had an impact on the way I´ve been feeling lately. Without this stress and pressure, my daily life goes more smoothly.
My relation with S changed in a few ways but now the storm has passed we´re not so distant as we were before. During sixteen years, we´ve been trough a lot of good and bad things and although we´re divorced and not living together there´s still a lot of good feelings and emotional attachment. This way, none of us seems to be able to "move on" and I think none of us really wants that. Only time will tell...
A good rest of weekend to all :)

Hello everyone,
It´s been a while since my last night blogging session and I must confess I was missing it already :)
Last week, I was online every day but doing everything else except blogging. I´ve been spending a lot of time chatting trough messenger, hehe, the "new era virtual socialization tool".
Obviously my post tittle isn´t about my blogging nights, which I adore, it´s related to my job. I won´t do any more night shifts. From now on, I´ll work my daily seven hours between 8.00 am and 8.00 pm.
This is such a relief... I can keep this job a bit longer and take care of my daughter at the same time. First, I though about quitting but then I found that I could request flexible schedules because I have a child under 12. That´s exactly what I did and my request was accepted by the hospital´s administration. This wasn´t the best move for my contract´s longevity but considering my personal circumstances, it was the wiser thing to do.
So...now I don´t work nights but I gained just what I hate: Mornings! lol
Can´t have everything, right? (otherwise, where would I keep it, hehe, love this saying).
Well, I´m off to update my other blogs.
See you soon :)

If you´ve been looking for a reliable web host service you probably realized there are so many different companies on the market that it can be difficult to select only one as the best provider.
A good solution to find a web host suitable to your needs is to compare the different features each provider offers and shop around. You can choose among free hosting, shared hosting or dedicated server. The type of service you need will depend on how much space and bandwidth you want to contract for your site plus traffic. A high traffic website eventually will need dedicated servers. Free hosting can be a good option for a simple website with low traffic but after a certain degree, size and daily visitors, you´ll need dedicated servers.
You can check updated hosting information in directories such as Webhostingrating. Also check my archives for more information. This type of directories provides plenty information about web hosting services and list the best webhosting awards.
With so much competition among hosting providers, in recent years, prices dropped substantially. Many companies offer plans with free domains included and other bonuses. Look around, read real users reviews, ask other webmasters opinions and always go for the service with the best custom service rating possible, you´ll never know when you´ll need to contact your hosting provider so you´d better go with a company known for it´s responsive and reliable post-selling service.

It´s ten o'clock of an unexpectedly sunny Monday morning in Algarve (after a rainy and cloudy weekend) and I haven´t slept yet...not a minute the whole night.
Uff! What a night!
Messed sleeping schedules... blogging nights...blog-hopping...too much going on and I just can´t skip a thing. Blogging has become much more than only a hobby, it has become a passion. I get so distracted and amused while blogging or reading other blogs that night slips by without notice. Morning arrives silently and I only notice it when the first rays of light enter my kitchen´s window.
Then, it´s time to make my daughter´s breakfast. I prefer skipping a little more sleep than my breakfast moment with her. Her classes start at 9.00 am so at 7.30 she´s already up.
Later today, I´ll have a shift starting at 18.00 pm so I´d better catch some sleep before it. When the shifts ends and I come back home, she´s already sleeping so, today, this will be our only moment together.
Summing it up: I´m a night owl...forever?
Did I ever mentioned that I´ve always been a Garfield´s fan?
Monday mornings... :)
Beach Nostalgia (Already), Weekend & Job Stuff

Summer´s officially over, the first rains arrived today.
Beach nostalgia already...
This weekend I´ll have two days off to be at home but with this weather, and my current down mood, how cool can that be?
You know what? It´s a perfect time to put my hands in the mountain of summer clothes laying around in my extra bedroom for weeks now. Great plan for a weekend...ironing, cooking, cleaning, lol. It sounds like the best plan ever as I can skip the whole thing and just blog the weekend away :)
I can´t complain much. I´ve been digging my own grave too. Since I came home for vacations (last August 30), I´ve only gone to work one day. The rest of the days I called in sick and others I simply skipped it without any paper to justify. You can see where this is ending...right? The door to unemployment soon will be opened for me.
Be my guest! The fact is I hate being underpaid, being yelled at constantly, only having 30 minutes to have a meal, and the feeling of being stuck in a job I don´t like at all in schedules that mess my family life.
The other day, I was on the phone with my mother and we were having a nice conversation. I was telling about my job´s stuff when she asked me "The Question": Why did you take a University course then?
I though, sure! She´s right, you know... I can only blame the government, our country´s financial situation and people´s mindset.
I handled this job at the hospital pretty well in the past 18 months but not anymore. I just can´t cope anymore. The money is important but some things are more important than money:
"Life is about life and not the result of life." Goethe
Good weekend to all!
See you soon xx
