Hope you all had a good Christmas. I´m back home, we had a safe trip.
Our Christmas was very nice, different from previous years.
I arrived my hometown last Thursday night and only returned today. I split my time there between my mother and friends. I even meet friends I had not seen in many years. It always feels good to return to my roots and feel that my friends were happy to see me.
New Year is approaching fast, another party... but this time here in Algarve :)
I´m not sure how I will spend it yet. My daughter will spend New Year´s with her father so I´ll be free to do whatever I like.

Money Topics
The year end is a good time to make a life balance, look back and into the future.
In the past two years my life changed a lot. I´m now a single mother and the only captain of this ship and that makes a huge difference. Before divorce, everything I did had a family focus, my life gravitated around my ex and my daughter.
All finances and money decisions were made having the three of us in mind, not anymore. For me, 2011 will be a year in which I will need to focus on my personal finances. Now that I´m unemployed, things will get a bit harder for us. I have to cut down all unnecessary expenses and luxuries.
I´m also planning to move and sell the flat we are currently living in.
Until I´m able to sell my flat, I will have to stretch all Euros. The only thing that could rescue me from this financial situation would be finding a new job or a way to have some Wicked Profits.
I will need to do something to change this, stop worrying and taking action. This also means that once my mind will be focused on money topics, I will write more blog posts for my Personal Finances blog...that´s for sure.

Blogging Projects
This year is almost ending. Christmas is a nice time to recap, look back and plan for the future. Today´s post is a summary of my current blogging projects and plans for the year to come.
In late Summer, I had the goal to improve my Portuguese Art blog and start two new free blogs, one about food and another about Personal Finances. I achieved these goals and my new blogs are up and running. Thanks to them, my advertising revenue also improved.
For the future, I´ll keep working to improve all my Portuguese blogs. I still have a lot to do in that front and, as you know, blogging is a "never ending story".
During 2010 I did my best to keep up my English blogs as well. I dropped my first domain which will be replaced by a new one, dedicated some more time to my Personal Finances blog, changed My Countryhome´s focus and spent many hours reading. My earnings doing reviews dropped drastically but I kept working online doing things like micro-jobs, writing resumes and making translations.
This month, I bought three new domain names. One will be used for Net Source blog, another for a new Personal Blog and the third one is for a project related to home and fashion topics. Next I´ll have to pick a webhosting plan and start writing more content for these last two projects.
So, this is what I´ll be doing when I return from my Christmas trip to my hometown. A handful of blogging projects :)

Motard Christmas
Every year, Faro´s Motorcycle Club organizes a Christmas Parade specially dedicated to children and this year wasn´t exception.
An old fire fighter car opens the parade and motards dressed in Santa Claus ride their motorbikes across the city to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. They offer candies and balloons too!

Beauty Christmas Gifts
Tonight, I took my daughter to Algarve Shopping, the biggest mall in our region, for our Christmas shopping. This mall is located in Guia, Albufeira, a 30 Km drive from my home. The mall was packed but we had a good time.
We had a good dinner together and after we went for our little shopping spree. I had promised myself that this year I would buy frugal Christmas gifts so I went shopping on a budget. After looking around some shops, I decided to buy natural beauty gifts for everyone. I bought some pretty gift boxes containing bath gel, soap and hydration cream.
It looks like this was an evening solely dedicated to beauty. We also bought a natural manicure set for ourselves and went to the hairdresser where we were introduced to Alcina haircare products. Now that bought most of our Christmas gifts, I have to think about our meals for the next days before traveling to my hometown.

Christmas Shopping: Forum Algarve
Forum Algarve is Faro´s biggest mall and we live very close to it. I can see it from my bedroom window. We go there often because it also has Jumbo hypermarket, the biggest supermarket in town.
The mall looks more beautiful at night with all the lights on and Christmas decorations. They also make the biggest Christmas tree in town. Early this month, we went there for dinner and I took the pictures above.
Tonight, me and my daughter are going out for our Christmas shopping.

In today´s competitive market, all companies which attain some degree of success have a Logo. That´s a fact, and even small companies need to create an image to represent them, their products or services.
Nowadays´s even bloggers enjoy having cool logos, buttons or banners to represent their blogs.
If I had enough technical skills and software I would create a button for each one of my blogs but once I don´t have such skills, I have to sort this issue out the way I can. One of my problems is I enjoy changing my blog´s templates whenever I get tired of them. If I had enough skills, it would be easy to create a new button each time I change my blog´s template. This is the main reason why I keep using free templates and have the same button all the time.

Blogger Status: Night Blogging...Again
Hello guys,
Hope all is well on your corner of the world. Here it´s really cold for me..freezing all day and no sun. Temperatures lowered...and the best place to be is home, preferably nearby the fireplace (wish I had one) :)
As I said before, I love sky pictures. There´s a meme called "Friday Sky Watch", I´ve seen some posts at other blogs but you know me...can´t keep up the pace of a weekly meme..lol. Had to quit MM for the same reason...so now I do one "any-day" music post and publish sky pictures in one of my other blogs. The picture above is one of my night sky pictures..a bit blurred because of the lights..but a great sky catch. I think I should have bought a Canon instead of Hp :)
Well, I´m night blogging again. Been working in my new personal blog, my new place with it´s own domain name :)
I think it was about time to have a personal blog with Mizé in it´s domain name too...I love Night Clicks, been blogging here for over 3 years now...have loads of posts..some more interesting than others :)...but it´s time to have my own virtual place outside a free platform. I think bloggers understand this. I won´t stop posting here but will slow the pace of very personal posts. I´m off to Mizé Journey..have lots of things I´d like to post there :)

Blogging Tips: How to Change a Video Code so it Fits a Blog Post
Hello everyone,
As you know, I blog-hop quite a bit trough EC and other Social Networks. Recently, I came across a few blogs with videos a bit wider than it´s post´s width. Probably, these bloggers haven´t learned yet how to change a Video html code so it fits a blog post so I´ve decided to share what how I do it.
If you copy one html video code from Youtube or any source, to make the video fit your blog´s post all you have to do is replace the numbers in the parameters "Width" and "Height" within the code for lower values.
For example, in a regular Youtube html piece of code you´ll find the following command´s values:
width="640"
height="390"
All you have to do is replace 640, the value corresponding to the video publishing width, for a lower value to fit your blog post, for example, 440.
Some html codes repeat the size command twice (once in the code´s beginning and another near the last commands) so you need to use the same numeric value in both commands to make it work.
To change a video´s height, the process is the same. Just replace 390 in the html code for a lower number, for example 300, if you wish to reduce the video height and for a higher number if you wish to increase it´s height.
