Web Hosting Information

If you have been thinking about moving your blog from a free platform to your own domain but you´re not sure which company to choose, you can look for advice in a web hosting directory.
There are so many companies offering web hosting services on the market and each one provides different plans and prices so it can be a bit confusing for someone who is just starting out.
If you´re new to hosting plans, you´ll find that the hosting directory linked in this post aggregates useful information about the best web hosting providers. You can also find ratings, reviews, other users comments, articles and news to learn more about this topic.
In my case, I was still a newbie when I first decided to buy my own domain so before buying any hosting plan I had to take the time to read articles and all the information I could find online. And that´s how I learned the little I know. I found that the articles offered by a hosting guide were the most helpful for a beginner like me.

It´s All About Links

As you probably know, SEO is a blogging related topic that always catches my attention. I´m always interested in learning more about it.
When I first started researching about SEO I came across so many articles and other online resources, some contradictory, that I had a hard time distinguishing real info from rambling.
"Content is King"..very true..but PR is so much about links.
Good quality content is what really makes a blog stand out, have traffic and readers but in terms of the green bar I´m starting to believe that links have more weight in Google´s PR equation than I first thought.
This is only a personal opinion, as you know I´m not an expert in this field. I did an experiment with free blogs and my conclusion is based on the results I found, my blogging experience and what I have seen happening around the blogoshpere.

Blogging Resume

Hello guys,
You probably noticed that, in the past weeks, I´ve been more absent from the blogoshpere than usual. Everything is all right, I´m just going trough one of those times when real life takes over.
The moving and my personal life have been the major focus of my attention. After a deserved rest, I´m now ready and have the energy to implement the changes I´ve been planing since last Winter. You can catch me almost everyday on fb as it´s the only social network I spend time on.
Once my real life has been demanding so much of my time, I had to postpone one of my blogging projects. Early this year, I had bought two new domain names with the objective of using one of them for a new blog. I even got a web hosting plan for it but without time to write content I will not launch it.
I must admit this was not a brilliant decision because before I was having some difficulties keeping up the projects I already had in hands. What´s done is done. I think that after I settle down in the new place I will get back to on track with my blogging agenda. My Blogging journey has been a lot about learning with all my decisions too.
See you soon :)

What´s Up?

Hello guys,
Weekend´s here, and with the sunny days we´ve been having lately it looks like Summer is arriving soon.
The weather is great but, this weekend, we´re not going anywhere special. My car has been in the mechanic since 18/05. Talk about problems...
My daughter wants to watch "Rio" at the movies and probably that´s what we will do tomorrow. At least, we won´t be locked home all day. I don´t mind being home but she does...she gets really bored/boring. Adolescence is arriving...and I can see it coming already :)
On my end, things are going...slowly going. I know big goals take time as well as big changes. Patience, persistance and positive thinking are my best allies right now but some days I feel like I´m tied up...wanting to speed thing up...a natural trait from Aries nature :)
I want to keep up the packing but some days procrastination takes over and I just get the "everyday" stuff done. Even at a slow pace... I´ll get thing done. There´s no turning back for me now :)
See you xx

Web Hosting for Small and Medium Businesses

For a simple blogger like me, one domain name and a simple web hosting plan is enough to keep each of my my blogs up and running but websites with more traffic, small and medium web-based businesses require shared hosting, managed hosting services, or their own dedicated-servers.
The more traffic a website has, the more space it needs to be up and running around the clock. It´s not nice to visit a website and receive the “bandwidth limit exceed” message and if that website is a business there´s the risk of loosing clients.
If you´ve been looking for such services, you can check Superb Intenet, the web hosting company linked in this post. This company has been providing registar and web hosting services since 1996 and their target audience is small to medium businesses. Once this company works with the whole web hosting service spectrum, including colocation, with them you can be sure that your hosting plan can grow along with your website.

Blogger Status: Back to the Blogosphere

Hellooo...
I´m back...still alive & kicking :))
My Easter mini holidays were very nice. Returning to my hometown once in a while...feels so good! Needless to say, my mother was radiant to have us there and I had the chance to visit my best friend.
I haven´t updated any of my blogs for nearly two weeks now..shhh..time flies.
Since I´ve returned from my mini holidays, I´ve been online almost every day... mostly socializing and working on other stuff that doesn´t require blogging. Sometimes, just procrastinating or reading.
Lately, I´ve been spending more time on FB than I ever did in any other social network but you know...I´m reaching that point...when "enough is enough" so blogosphere here I am :)
As usual, after a blogging break, I´ve got a pile of stuff to catch up so that´s where I´m heading now.
See you xx
