Nofollow Attribute in links, Images or Banners

>> 23.10.08

This post continues the serie of posts I´m writing about links in blogs.
In my previous post about links I distinguished do follow links from no follow links in a simple way.
Once images and banners also contain links, it´s useful to know how to add a ‘Nofollow’ attribute. Basically it´s done the same way as in links.
All you need is to add rel=”nofollow”. Here’s another way to add this attribute in a link or any image/banner:

In a link:

a rel=”nofollow” href="website url”>Anchor text

In Images and banners:

a rel=”nofollow” href=”website url”> img src=”image url"

Take note that I couldn´t add the html opening and closing tags in this example.
