Affiliate Network - Finances

It´s been a while since my last "mmo" post. Lately, I have not been as much active as I used to be and for that reason I have not researched new opportunities for quite some time.
I´m still using the same advertising companies I was using six months ago, so nothing much changed in this front. In fact, I have improved some blog advertising earnings but nothing much expressive which justified a whole new post.
Today´s post is about a company I recently came across in one of my Personal Finances readings called Blue Global Media. Blue Global Media is an affiliate network focused in financial products such as loans and credit reports.
In the past, I have written several posts about Affiliate Marketing and how it works. You can check my older posts in the archives section. So, I think I can skip long, general explanations and go straight to the point. Today´s post is more about an affiliate opportunity which I would not mind trying it out myself, kind of a lead for those who already know how these schemes work. Some people make good money trough Affiliate Marketing but it does not work the same for all.
Once Global Media is focused on financial products, they provide Payday affiliate programs and are interested in other financial leads. If you have a website about financial topics, expertise in this area or would like to try out this opportunity just click in any of the links in this post and you will be directed to this company´s website.

Pop up displays can be used both as a learning or marketing tool. As a learning tool, pop up displays can be effectively used in group presentations. The use of images, schemes and bigger screens can capture the audience´s attention better than only a speech.
As a marketing tool pop up trade show displays are used at trade shows, job fairs, retail stores, events or where a large portable display wall is needed.
The use of a trade show pop up can attract the attention of a wider audience to a given product or service.
Pop up displays come in a variety of shapes and sizes, plus are easy to set up and transport. Custom pop ups are provided with internal shelving, back lighting, different shapes, monitors, dye cut graphics, pop up booths and more. Blogger Status: Back Home

Hello guys,
I´m back, safe and sound :)
Roger Water´s concert was awesome...unforgettable!
I enjoyed every minute of this trip... it will always remain in my memory attached to a certain special someone.
Sadly..but incredible how this concert´s message is still valid...
Traveling alone is something I had not done in a long time so it felt... strangely different but good. Unlike some other trips I did to watch concerts in Lisbon, this turn I had plenty free time to enjoy the drive, the meals and the views.
I did not take many pictures, I just did a few short videos from the concert. I´m getting really mad with my camera as it is too sensible and many pictures come out distorted. My camera is good for people who can stand really still...not someone like me :)
I guess the next gadget entering in my "wish I had" list is a decent camera. I´m not a good photographer but add that to a lousy camera and you get the kind of pictures I sometimes have the nerve to publish in my blogs..hehe.
Ok, so I´m back to work. By now, my e-mail box probably has a few pages of messages sent by email marketing software to go trough. I have all my blogs to update and feel like catching up on some of my long distance friends and favorite bloggers. EC here I go :)
See you soon xx

About E-mail Marketing

When I started blogging, I created two separate e-mail accounts solely for this purpose and maintained one account for personal use only. During this years that I´ve been online, I´ve given my e-mail address to many websites and joined a few newsletters. With time, my e-mail spread and became a part of lists. Obviously, not all the websites I gave my e-mail to kept it only for themselves. Nowadays, I face the trouble of too much spam and useless e-mails.
Every time I open any of these two e-mail boxes, I have to spend hours cleaning them which already has become a burden to me. It sucks way too much of my online time already but I don´t see an easy way out to this issue. I could create two new e-mail accounts but contacting everyone to change it can also be an issue.
I´ve noticed that many Internet Marketing campaigns revolve around e-mail. E-mail Marketing can be described as fast and effective but it all depends on the recipient. In my case, it´s not that effective but that only happens because I´ve learned to distinguish e-mails I receive.
I receive many e-mails from small business email marketing campaigns, many of which are created by tools like the link in this post. E-mail marketing tools were developed to help marketers reach wider audiences trough lists and such. These tools save time and in the case of auto-responders can be very useful to some companies.
Maybe this type of approach can be effective for some but as far as I´m concerned I´m a difficult type of recipient.

eBay

As I mentioned in a recent post, I´m preparing myself to sell my flat and move to a smaller one. Downsizing is something that has been on my mind in the past couple years but only now I´m putting it in practice.
One of the things I´m doing, is decluttering and reducing my possessions. I have so much stuff on my flat that I´m thinking about selling some things. I have been researching online about free learning resources to make money on eBay. Maybe I could sell some of my stuff there.
While researching about this topic, I came across the website linked above. This website provides information and trough it I learned about eBay scams. I don´t know if alibaba is not a scam but one thing I have learned is that we should not buy fake gadgets online. There´s the risk of paying but never receiving what you purchased.
Do you have any experiences about e-bay, both as a seller or buyer that you can share with me? I would appreciate to hear from you.

Pop Up Displays

Recently, while visiting a fair, I noticed how a certain company was using pop up displays as a marketing tool in a way that captured my attention. They were showing a short movie describing their product’s features in an appellative way.
Pop up displays can be used both as learning or marketing tool. As a learning tool, for example, they can be very useful for a presentation. The use of images, schemes and bigger screens can capture a wider audience than only a speech.
As a marketing tool, pop up trade show displays are used at trade shows, job fairs, retail stores, events or where a large portable display wall is needed. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes and are easy to set up and transport.
As a marketing tool a trade show pop up can be a more effective tool than a flier, a business card or even a direct sale approach. It´s an effective tool in capturing attention and can be good aid in helping a company maximize the return on the investment. The links in this post lead to a company´s website which provides pop up displays.

Business Cards Online

If you have a business or product to sell, you should consider all the different ways available to put the word out. Good marketing can really help a business, and the old proved methods should not be discarded.
The other day, I went to a coffee shop for a quick snack. Once I didn´t want to spend much time there, I placed my order while standing next to the register´s machine. While waiting, I noticed there were a few business cards and fliers on the counter.
There was one particular card that caught my attention, a blinds fixing service. I needed to fix one blind in my apartment but had been avoiding doing it because I thought I had to replace the whole blind and that´s expensive. A few days before I found this business card, my room´s blind decided to break too so I finally had to do something about it. I enjoy sleeping in the dark so a broken blind which lets the daylight pass trough it becomes an annoying problem.
I didn´t know any reliable and cheap service so I decided to give it a try. I called the number on the card and asked for a quote. For my surprise, the quote was lower than I´d thought so I hired the service.
Next Saturday, an old gentleman showed up at my flat at the exact scheduled hour. He told me he had just retired from a long career in the blinds business and now was doing small fixing jobs as a part-time.
In a glimpse of an eye he fixed both blinds and charged me twenty euros. Good business for me, plus now I have a reference for future blind problems.
My point is business cards are still a valid marketing method. Nowadays, you can print business cards free online. You can choose the business card template that suits you best and enhance your business card for a professional look, and all this modern tools are available online at a very low price.
Another way is putting your business card in mail boxes, I already found a few in my own mail box. Got a blog to promote? Print a few cards, spread them around a see what happens. Maybe you can gain more frequent readers :)

Social Media Marketing Campaign: A Case Study

IZEA, the company that owns Pay Per Post and Social Spark, recently completed Kmart´s social media marketing campaign.
Broadly speaking, a social media marketing campaign consists in the promotion of content, products or services using social networks. This campaigns can also include viral content that was created to be shared by users of social networks. Social networks can be considered the latest online trend to socialize with family and friends or to meet other Internet users.
I think that a social media marketing campaign can be very effective because it doesn´t focus on a single source of advertising and can have a wider reach. In online and offline advertising, the rules are the same: more exposure is better which is the same as "more visitors, more buyers".
In a short period of time the blogosphere has grown immensely. Many blogs have a large number of readers, followers and feed subscribers. This blogs have a vast audience and can be an effective resource to advertise different types of products. Word of mouth marketing can be effective for advertisers, like what happened in in Kmart´s campaign.
In this campaign, some bloggers received a compensation to promote Kmart in their blogs and were incentive to post about their shopping experience with this company.
Now that Kmart´s campaign was completed, IZEA did a Social Media Case Study, which results you can see in this slide show:
