Perfect Place for Winter Vacations

In Portugal, in the past decade, winter sports have become very popular but the only place where they can be done is in "Serra da Estrela", the highest mountain we have. April is the perfect time for a winter vacations there because temperatures are bearable and there´s still snow in the mountain.
I would like to have a winter vacation but if I could I would go to Vermont, in Canada.
