Avoiding Smoking Smell

I´m a smoker, but I don´t like the smell afterwards. In my flat, I only smoke in the kitchen and it´s balcony but in winter time it´s too cold to be outside.
My hubby and daughter have some breathing problems and I have to avoid smoking around them. I also think kids should be protected so I don´t smoke when there´s kids around.
I´m allergic to AC, so maybe an air purifier could solve my problem. I´ve been thinking about this for some time, but I don´t know how this equipment work. I´m glad I found this website which is na air cleaners guide. After reading this guide I now have a clear idea how the air purifiers work. Maybe some are affective, I´d like to try one.
